New Hampshire interpolates between annual net-income percentages

RSA 458-C sets ten combined annual net-income anchors for one, two, three, and four or more children.

The percentage changes directly between anchors, and the combined obligation is divided by each parent income share.

The 2026 self-support reserve is 130 percent of the $15,960 one-person federal poverty guideline, or $20,748 yearly.

New Hampshire child support calculator FAQs

Does New Hampshire use gross or net income?

The percentage table uses combined net income after the statutory standard deductions.

How is the percentage selected?

It is interpolated directly between the annual net-income anchors in RSA 458-C:3.

What is the minimum order?

The statutory minimum is $50 monthly unless the court finds a lesser amount appropriate.

What is the 2026 self-support reserve?

It is 130 percent of the one-person federal poverty guideline, or $20,748 annually and $1,729 monthly.

Does equal parenting automatically change the amount?

No fixed adjustment is encoded. Current law treats parenting schedules through rebuttable presumptions and case findings.

Can the court deviate?

Yes. RSA 458-C:5 lists special circumstances that may justify an adjustment.
