Idaho uses marginal annual-income bands

Rule 120 applies a different percentage to each successive combined Guidelines Income band, then allocates the monthly total by income share.

When each parent has more than 25% of overnights, the total is multiplied by 1.5, weighted for time, and offset.

The published schedule reaches $440,000 combined annual income. Above it, the scheduled amount is not a limitation.

Idaho child support calculator FAQs

Is Idaho a flat-percentage state?

No. Successive portions of combined annual income use different percentages.

When does shared custody apply?

When each parent has more than 25% of annual overnights.

What happens below $800 monthly payer income?

The court carefully reviews income and living expenses; the $50-per-child minimum is rebuttable, so the calculator stops.

What happens over $440,000?

The scheduled amount through that income is calculated, but it does not limit additional support.

Are tax benefits included?

No. Idaho has a separate dependency-tax-benefit adjustment.

Can a court deviate?

Yes, with the ordinary guideline amount stated and reasons for departure.
